Apple will pay $60 Million to sell iPAD in China

Apple’s battle with  Proview Technology in China come to an end.

Proview Technology that has trademark for the use of the name iPAD sued Apple unsuccessfully couple of time; once for $2 billion and for $400 million. Apple’s attempt to settle the issue for $16 million back in May failed.

On July 2 2012 Apple agreed to pay $60 million to settle the despite over ownership of the iPAD name that was owned by Proview.

The settlement did not come cheap for Apple but it gives them the right to sell iPAD’s in China. As for Proview Technology, well what’s there to say isn’t it great to make money from air.
